There’s something so pristine, yet eerie, about these photos taken by Bas Princen that they appear manufactured or somehow made up. They’re not. Princen studied architecture, training his eye before he picked up a camera and took these photos. He has a way of framing buildings that gives them personalities: the dainty pink-cornered building, the murky depths spanned by a tiled structural frame, and a stubborn behemoth surrounded by its workers. Although he is based in the Netherlands, Princen works all over the place. The proof of his travels is fantastic.
