I’ve gotta give it to Converse for their string of music collaborations, hasn’t once missed the mark. You probably remember the last one which paired Gorillaz with Andre 3000 and James Murphy. This time around they’ve grabbed Mark Foster from Foster the People, A-Trak and Kimbra for a track called Warrior.
Honestly I find this song to be too fun for words. The production from A-Trak is top-notch. The whole song feels so crisp, with the deep bass thumping the track along and the synths riding over the top. The KO punch to the track is the chorus, where you’ve got Mark Foster layered over Kimba. This is pop music at it’s finest, and I don’t feel bad at all listening to this track over and over. Serious spring time jams right here.
