‘Skyspace’ by James Turrell, a place to observe the heavens (video)

Skyspace installation by artist James Turrell

Not be be outdone by UCSD, this is the newest addition of art to the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas. Skyspace by James Turrell is a place to sit and watch the sky through anĀ aperture in a canopy above your head. But it is also much more. Although the work does not officially open for another week or so, the University uploaded a video of the completed project. Students give their impressions of the space along with the University President, a major benefactor, and a lady from the Art Department.
