Have you ever wondered what it’s like to work inside some of the most recognized and celebrated architecture offices? Wonder no more, and delve into a trove of first-hand accounts about working in such firms. Compiled by students at the UT Austin School of Archtiecture, the stories are a part of the ISSUE: collective.

The best part of visiting a work of architecture in person is that there is always something surprising there. You can see all of the drawings and photos, but a brightly-colored bathroom or a brothel across the street doesn’t always make the presentation materials. Similarly, there are surprising details about working for these firms. Which one has office-wide snack parties twice a day and which one has weekly field trips for all of the interns?
