Ever since seeing the trailer for Kyle Mowat’s Ballpit on Vimeo several months ago I’ve been eager to see the finished piece. Created as a degree show project while studying at Canada’s Sheridan College, the video is a wonderfully odd trip into a surreal world of bright colors and abstract shapes. For me, it feels like Kandinsky’s Several Circles has come to life and melted all over the screen. It’s fluidity is beautiful and everything just buzzes with such magical organic movement.

The use of sound and music is also noteworthy and it comes courtesy of the Toronto-based musician Lido Pimienta. The whole thing is a great piece of surrealism and I demand that you check it out right now!
