Brooklyn baseed illustrator and designer and friend of TFIB Jon Contino recently uploaded some awesome new work for Nike which I’m digging. It was for a project called Nike VCXC, a running event in Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx. Jon was in charge of branding, illustration and design with art direction by Jason Herkert. I love how Jon did these great animal illustrations paired with his usual amazing hand drawn type. The whole campaign has a gritty feeling to it but paired with the bright neons feeling really fun and contemporary. Overall the project is executed flawlessly, exactly the kind of work you expect from both Jon and Nike.
