Jefferson Cheng is an SF based designer who’s work is bold, graphic, and extremely pleasing to my eyes. When I look at the pieces he’s made I love that their’s a lot of colorful, geometric shapes that are often paired with just the right amount of text. It’s a subtractive quality where you know he’s put in just the right amount of design, not too much and not too little.
I think the work he did for Dunce in SF is really nice which has sort of a nordic quality to the design. I’m also really into the posters he did for the Jazzlab at Google. Love those big, colorful shapes with the overprinted text, it’s a great combination. You can see lots more of Jefferson’s work by clicking here.
