I’ve been meaning to buy a pair of TOMS for about a year now, I think they’d make such awesome summer shoes, yet I keep forgetting. Then I got an email yesterday announcing that they have some web exclusive shoes for this summer only, reminding me yet again that I still don’t have. But I really like these new ones they’ve released, the colors are really awesome… if you’re a girl. As a boy I don’t think I could ever try pull off a pair of striped pair of alpargatas, nor would I ever try. I really like the salmon colored ones, the canary ones, and the blue and white striped ones.
As always, when you buy a pair of TOMS, they give a pair away to a child in need, so you’ll look hot this summer and help someone out at the same time.
I was checking out Mr. Dan Funderburgh’s blog over on 12ozPROPHET and saw that he had a recent collaboration with Gravis that looks pretty rad. They covered a bunch of their bags (in male and female varities) with his geographical weather map pattern and they look absolutely awesome. As much as I want to be sick of camo-type patterns, this looks totally fresh and amazing. Head over to Gravis to check out all the different styles, lots of great stuff to choose from. Now I just need a reason to buy more luggage…
Vans Vault has released the line-up for their Spring 2008 collection, and it’s looking pretty rad. It’s called Color Theory, and features a lot of crazy, bold colors and some really cool textures. The top row of shoes (look to me) like the girls blend, and the bottom are the guys. I really like the gray pair on the bottom in the middle. They look pretty fancy, but I bet their amazingly comfy. I also think the shoes on the bottom on the far right are pretty fun, like a material you’d find in a sombrero.
I picked the shoes in the top row because of the awesome colors and patterns, but also because I think my mom would really like them. I bought her a pair of Vans about a year ago and now she loves them. So check ‘em out momma and we’ll get you some of these!
It’s been a little while since I came across a pair of shoes I really liked, but these new Clae shoes above totally caught my eye. They’re called the Whitman, and look like a kind of modern day wingtip. They’ve got a blend of canvas and leather, and come with a crazy electric blue rubber sole. I love they look modern enough to not get weird looks, but nice enough to wear out to a nice dinner.
They run around $90 and you can use Clae’s retailer locater to see if they’re being sold anywhere near your neighborhood.
