Matt and Kim’s ‘Lessons Learned’ Video

I got an email earlier today from a guy named Taylor about the new Matt & Kim video for the song Lessons Learned. I checked out the video, not really sure what to think cuz’ I still hadn’t heard their new album, Grand. As it turns out, both the song and the video are absolutely killer.

The video features Matt & Kim slowly stripping out of their clothes, eventually ending up buck naked through the streets of New York, in front of the MTV studios to be specific. I talked to the director of the video, who just happened to be the fellow who emailed me, and he said the whole thing was totally real. They were really naked, there were really cops there, only one part at the end might not be, haha…

Check it out, and be sure to check out Matt & Kim’s new album Grand as well.

Neil Krug

Check out the beautifully trippy photos of Neil Krug.. Neil lives in Kansas, taking photos of naked ladies, hippy dudes and beautiful landscapes. He gets these really gorgeous effects to his photos by using expired polaroids, which make them let amazing.

Neil also recently did a mini-interview with Fecal Face, which you can read here.

New Mcginley Inspired Sigur Ros Video for Gobbledigook

Holy crap. Out of nowhere Sigur Ros just released this new single and video for a song called Gobbledigook, an Animal Collective-esque song that makes me really frigging excited for their new album, Með suð i eyrum við spilum endalaust (With A Buzz In Our Ears We Play Endlessly). Yeah, seriously, that’s what it’s called.

But what really takes the cake is how awesome the music video is! It was directed by Arni & Kinski, and inspired by Ryan McGinley who I guess also collaborated on the video. To me that sounds like they asked him if they could shoot in his style so he wouldn’t sue them and he said yes, haha… Anyhow, the video, in classic McGinley fashion, features a bunch of hot, young things running around naked in the woods. It’s not shot quite like a McGinley photo, but I think the essence is there at the very least. I think combined with the song it’s particularly amazing, definitely pretty fun and out there.

If you’re at work, you probably shouldn’t watch it, as there are boobs and weens ALL OVER the place in this video, so that’s you’re warning. But I highly suggest sneaking behind your bosses and co-workers back and watching it, it’s damn beautiful and the song is way fun. I mean, it’s artsy nudes, they’re not having sex, so whatevs.

Erwin Olaf

Looking at the photos of Erwin Olaf you can tell he’s a very talented guy, even though they might be a little off-kilter. Olaf was born in The Netherlands in 1959 and has been shooting for about 25 years now. In the photos above, taken from his series Rain, he takes a Norman Rockwell approach to his photos, with strong, but desaturated colors, and an intense feeling of nostalgia. But this is just a few of the photos from the many series of photos he’s taken, not to mention video and other projects he’s done as well.
Not all of his photos are safe for work, and there are some naked people in some of them, jsyk. But they’re still pretty amazing, so definitely check them out.
